Who I am

My name is Abril Romero. I am an aspiring filmmaker and director. My imagination and creativity are what I’ve always had and what have led me to this chapter of my life. Although I am still half way through university, I am taking all the opportunities I can to make movies and grow the capacity to make my voice seen.

Pretend is my debut short film as a student director and it is almost out of production. It captures the essence of my childhood and how it has impacted my life and choices up until now. I expect everything I work on to have a piece of me in it: my bilingualism, biculturalism, home life, childhood, sense of humor, achievements, failures, passions, beliefs, etc.

Here’s to the projects I have under my belt now, and to the many that will come tomorrow.
